~About Me~

Hello there! Furry By Nature is a pet boutique and blog that is a culmination of my lifetime of love for animals and my creative experience. My products focus on the health, well-being, and fun for both the pets, and the people who love them. The products will range from leashes and bananas to paw balm and dry shampoo.  There are so many natural products for people, but few for our beloved companions. I strive to use natural, safe, non-chemical ingredients/supplies for all Furry by Nature products, our pets are family after all.

                                                                                                     Now a little About Me…
My name is LeeAnn and I am a happily married 42 yr old pet groomer. My husband and I are proud parents of a beautiful, but very neurotic, cat, and our two little rattie boys. Yes….I said rats….and no they are not gross. They are quite clean, smart, sweet, and very cute! (though we may be a little bias on that last one )

Our rattie boys Nibbler     and Pipsqueak

I am lucky to have a great relationship with my parents. My mom is one of my best friends and my dad is a constant inspiration to us.  Tom, my husband, is amazing. He is my biggest fan and big part of all my accomplishments. He supports me no matter how crazy my ideas are. Being a creative person as well, his talent pushes my boundaries constantly.

Tom and I

I am extremely passionate about animals. The word obsessed had been used once or twice (ish….ahem). We would have a house full if possible, but unfortunately my husband and I are not able to have more furbabies then we have already due to our housing situation. However, in the near future, I’m sure we will have a farm and enough other animals for a sanctuary!

As far as the creative gene..I got that from my mom. She actually has her own etsy shop also. I have been coloring, drawing, writing, taking pictures, etc… since I can remember. Over the years I have dabbled in so many different crafting hobbies. From crochet, to jewelry making , to paper crafts, I tried it all. It was the same with college. I have multiple Associate Degrees in different Art majors because I couldn’t pin point the exact major to focus on. After all that I ended up going to grooming school at 40 yrs old! Finally!I figured out what I want to do when I grew up! Unfortunately, the same indecisiveness made it take so long figure out to combine my creativity toward my passion for animals. I  feel complete having unified my passions. I am super excited to start this chapter of my life.
